What does a Charity Partnership mean to NECS?

At NECS, we are passionate about helping to improve the communities in which we work. As a responsible growing business, we feel it is our duty to try and support disadvantaged people in any way we can. What is Centrepoint?

We know that youth homelessness is a growing issue in the UK and we are motivated to do something about it. That is why we have chosen to support the youth homelessness charity Centrepoint.

Centrepoint are the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity. They know it takes more than a bed to end youth homelessness, so they work with the young people to ensure that they are healthy, have access to education, employment and training and have the independent living skills needed to escape homelessness for good. Centrepoint support over 9,200 homeless 16-25 year-olds each year in London, Manchester, Yorkshire and the North East.

Why support homeless young people?

Over 150,000 young people ask for help with homelessness in the UK each year. This figure is staggering and we hate the thought of young people becoming homeless before their life has even begun. We are a young ambitious company and we really identify with Centrepoint and the way they are ambitious for the homeless young people they support.

I intend to lead by example and have already committed to hiking 18 miles along Hadrian’s Wall in April to raise money for Centrepoint. Last month the team here at NECS went through their annual audits with the SGS (General Society of Surveillance), one of the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification companies and our very own external accreditation body, and we’re recertified for all 3 standards that we hold. Not only that, but we have also been transitioned from our old standards to brand new refreshed standards.
